The person lying on the bed was in extreme pain; his entire left arm was seriously burned. After grueling hours of healing the dangerous wounds, Captain Unohana finally had the patient stabilized. She was also able to at least dull the pain from the burns.
Unohana left the room, and walked a short distance to a very eager old man. "Well Captain Unohana, how is he?"
"I just stabilized him, and was able to heal most of his wounds, though not completely. I will need to have him under my complete supervision for quite some time."
"And how long will that be?" The old man asked.
"I can't say. It may take weeks, even months for him to fully recover. Though I was able to heal the wounds, the scarring of the burns is still visible on his arm."
"Will the arm still function properly?"
"Yes, he should have no problem using the arm, though it may be sore from the amount of damage it took. In time the arm will work just like it should.”
The old man was happy, "That is good to hear. If anything develops, inform me immediately."
"Absolutely Head-Captain Yamamoto…has his zanpakuto really gotten this bad?” Unohana asked curiously. He was only brought to Unohana if it was really bad.
The Head-Captain sighed, “Unfortunately yes. He’s gotten more and more aggressive and this…this has gotten out of hand. Anyway; just make sure you tell your Lieutenant to keep him a secret and not to take off his necklace.”
“I’ve had him as my patient enough times to know how to deal with it; it will be fine.”
"Very good, then I shall leave."
Head-Captain Yamamoto left and Unohana returned to the room, watching over her old patient. His hair was dark and short, and a bit disorganized. He was shirtless at the moment, lying still on a bed with a blanket covering him from toe to chest. The necklace he wore around his neck was made out of several small white cubes on a string.
The last time she had him as a patient was forty, possibly fifty years. Though that was NOTHING compared to how badly it was this time. She sighed, feeling sorry for the poor boy.
Her thoughts were broken when someone entered the room. Unohana looked to see that it was her Lieutenant, Isane Kotetsu. Isane gave a courteous bow then said, "You called for me Captain?"
"Yes Isane I did," Retsu said as she pointed to the patient. "This is the man we brought from the Squad One barracks. As you can see he is better, but he is still unconscious. I have other work to attend to, watch over him while I am gone."
    "Yes, Captain."
"Good: I must also tell you that only you, I, and the Head-Captain are allowed into the room. No one must know about him, those are orders from Captain Yamamoto himself. He also said not to take off the necklace; understood?"
Isane nodded, though she did not know why the secrecy was needed. "Ah, Captain," Isane said with shyness in her voice.
Unohana turned around, "Yes Isane, what is it?"
Isane was scared at first, "I don't mean to be rude or anything, I'm just wondering if you know why we have to be so secret about him. I mean, shouldn't we have as much help as possible?"
A smile flashed on Unohana's face, "Dear Isane, I know nothing about why to keep him a secret; I'm sure Head-Captain Yamamoto has a very good reason for it. For now Isane, just watch over him. We will take this one step at a time." There was no need to tell her …at least not yet.
Retsu left the room and closed the door, Isane then sitting down next to the man.

"Why do you keep refusing to use my full power?” The deep voice asked in a fairly angry tone. Ichiro Yamamoto awoke to darkness, nothing was there except a dragon standing in front of him. The dragon was a red in color; his shining scales the only source of light in the darkness.
He rose to his feet; the pitch black surroundings still about. He felt a little dizzy like someone hit him on the back of the head. Ichiro put his hand on the back of his head, his hand sliding through his dark short hair.
“Well boy answer me!” The dragon was now starting to get impatient.
“You know damn well why I don’t,” Ichiro shot back at him.
The dragon then suddenly roared at him, his huge, white teeth gleaming in the darkness. “Do you honestly think you can fully control me Ichiro?” He asked. “Why do you think my name is The Untamed Rage? Not even YOU could keep me under control!”
Ichiro just glared at him, “Why do you persist on being a stubborn ass Moretsu?” He asked calling him by his shortened name. “Can’t you behave just once? It would be nice not to worry about you…even only for a few minutes.”
Mikon Moretsu, also known as The Untamed Rage, shot back at him, “I told you once and I’ll tell you again: You have a great power with me Ichiro. If you were not afraid to use this power then I will gladly cooperate with you, but until then…” The zanpakuto did not finish, letting Ichiro’s imagination finish the sentence.
The large dragon disappeared, letting Ichiro be there alone with his thoughts. Things were only going to get harder from here on out.
It has started!!! This is the prelude to the new version of my Bleach fanfic: The Unknown Child. I am really excited to take this in a new direction. Not much has really changed in the prelude (obviously XD) but please comment and let me know what you think ^^

For those of you who've read the original version let me know if you think it's better or worse than the original.
